VIVO is assisting Technip Energies in expanding its current Northeast U.S. research and development facility in Weymouth, MA. Technip Energies’ Weymouth location encompasses a 20,000 SF industrial complex that combines office areas, research labs, and pilot plants. The company is expanding its work area to increase its R&D capacity. This new design mirrors the company’s global goals for sustainability, energy conservation, and employee wellness. In addition, a new buildout of nearby office suites supports future R&D growth at the lab. The existing lab is being reconfigured to create an open and light-filled space that will completely transform the day-to-day work experience for employees.

The research areas are being redesigned to have larger, more collaborative workspaces. 17-foot-high ceilings with skylights will be featured in the main workstation and breakroom areas. As part of the company’s sustainability goals, the complex will incorporate building designs and upgrades to increase energy efficiency and showcase Technip Energies’ advanced technology.

Upon completion, the upgraded facility will epitomize Technip Energies' vision of a future where technological excellence and environmental sustainability coalesce, nurturing innovation, and empowering its workforce to lead the global energy transition. The company is pursuing LEED Gold Certification for the building complex. The estimated completion date is Winter 2026.

VIVO is assisting T.EN in upgrading their current Northeast US pilot plant facility in Weymouth, MA. Currently occupying a 20,000 SF industrial warehouse that combines office areas, research labs, and a pilot plant, T.EN requires renovating the existing building to meet current standards of sustainability, energy conservation, and employee wellness. In addition, the existing facility does not reflect the expertise in innovation and commitment to excellence that defines the company.

The building requires a complete overhaul, with a new addition at the front replacing an outdated office block. The existing office is being completely reconfigured to create an open and light filled space that will completely transform the day-to-day work experience of their staff. Open ceilings with skylights in the main workstation and break room areas will provide 17 FT high spaces. The research labs are also being completely renovated with several small labs being combined into one large space, allowing T.EN to showcase the science and technology being developed. As part of the sustainability upgrades, the pilot plant portion of the building will also go thru an electrification upgrade, replacement of outdated mechanical equipment, and building envelope upgrades for energy conservation. The project is pursuing LEED gold certification. Estimated completion date, Summer 2025.
